Computershare's Investor Center
Offering non-US companies the opportunity to create Depositary Receipts (DR) in order to access new markets to broaden their investor base and to raise capital is a core business for Citi. This DR instrument will also benefit investors by offering them a vehicle to make buying and selling stocks in non-US companies very easy, as DRs trade in U.S. dollar and are governed by U.S. laws.
In the last several years, research has shown there is a positive trend among retail investors to take advantage of DRs in order to gain access to investment in markets outside the U.S. In response to the strong interest of retail investors in cross-border investing, Citi Depositary Receipt Services has formed a relationship with Computershare Inc., our transfer agency service provider, to deliver an enhanced and seamless solution to better serve our issuers' retail shareholders.
